Potrivit wtop.com, un rezident din Virginia, cu un caz confirmat de rujeolă, a fost prezent într-o clădire de birouri din centrul Bethesda pe 10 februarie, expunând potențial alte persoane la această infecție virală, au declarat oficialii de sănătate publică din comitatul Montgomery vineri, într-un comunicat de presă.

Aceasta a avut loc într-o clădire situată la 7200 Wisconsin Ave. între orele 9:00 și 19:00, conform comunicatului emis de Biroul de Control al Bolilor din cadrul Departamentului de Sănătate și Servicii Umane al comitatului. Sean O’Donnell, director adjunct al serviciilor de sănătate publică din departament, a declarat pentru Bethesda Today vineri că, deocamdată, departamentul nu a primit rapoarte din partea persoanelor în legătură cu o expunere potențială.
