În Argeș, mâine, pe 7 iulie, va ajunge Unitatea Mobilă de Screening pentru a oferi analize gratuite în două comune din sudul județului, continuând astfel campania de prevenire a cancerului de col uterin. Potrivit autorităților, scopul acestei acțiuni este de a promova sănătatea femeilor și de a detecta cât mai devreme posibile eventualele cazuri de cancer de col uterin. Unitatea Mobilă de Screening va fi prezentă în comunele Pitești și Costești, unde femeile cu vârsta cuprinsă între 25 și 64 de ani vor putea beneficia de teste gratuite pentru depistarea precoce a cancerului de col uterin. Potrivit organizației World Health Organization, acest tip de cancer este al patrulea cel mai frecvent întâlnit la femeile din întreaga lume, iar prin diagnosticarea și tratarea precoce a acestuia, se poate reduce riscul de deces. Potrivit programului, Unitatea Mobilă de Screening va funcționa în intervalul orar 9:00-15:00 și nu se va percepe nicio taxă pentru serviciile medicale oferite. Femeile interesate trebuie doar să se prezinte la Unitatea Mobilă de Screening cu un act de identitate și cu cartea de sănătate în original. Această campanie face parte dintr-un program mai amplu derulat de autorități în vederea promovării sănătății femeilor și a prevenției împotriva cancerului de col uterin. În acest sens, se recomandă tuturor femeilor cu vârsta cuprinsă între 25 și 64 de ani să facă teste de screening cel puțin o dată la șapte ani, conform ghidurilor medicale internaționale.
